EUR/USd makes larget one day move in over a month

Posted on October 26, 2009 at 13:14 in Uncategorized by Pierre Charlebois

I posted earlier that the last top could give way to a drop below the current trend-line and that it could be significant.

Volatility has returned to the EUR/USD. This in itself does not guarantee a turn however it comes at the end of a long trend. A rebound and new low could now define the trend.

This fall really is not a surprise if you look at the weekly bottom trendline. 4750-4700 would be the bottom. It may, as in the past, go up some but then would continue down till hitting 4750 or so. That’s my view.

    thank you!

what is your forecast, will EUR/USD go to 1.55 range or 1.45 by the end of this year 2009

    Hi Martin and Akbar.

The implications of a strong 5 wave sequence down could mean an outright reversal. For now I would say the last wave up from 1.39 should be fully retraced.

This is of course if we head lower from here as this is the potential pivot point.
