Hi all,

I would like to thank Phil Newton, owner of trading-strategies.info and full time trader, and Toni Juste, FXstreet’s FX Advisor and full time trader as well, for the great monthly Webinar they delivered last Friday, January 26th.

For 4 straight hours they got the crowd – around 35 people – hooked in front of their computer and made the learning process an admirable natural flow of understanding and interaction.

Usually our monthly Webinar accomplish very high levels of customer satisfaction such as in December 2005 with Kathy Lien and Boris Schlossberg, but I’ve never had such an overwhelming two thumbs up as I got with Friday’s Webinar.

I think the smartest thing we could do now is to have these two guys on again at FXstreet.com as soon as possible… and possibly even naming them the two wonders =)

If you had the opportunity to attend Friday’s Webinar, I would love to hear your comments

Thanks

Hi everybody,

We at FXstreet.com are considering organizing a Gathering which would take place Autumn 2007 – likely October – here in Barcelona, Catalonia – Spain.

The purpose of the gathering is to meet our visitors, content contributors, friends and clients for 3 days – possibly from Thursday to Saturday – to trade the market, educate ourselves, and have a great time all together.

Mornings and afternoons of working days would be dedicated to learning and trading, while evenings would be for us to enjoy ourselves. Furthermore, that Saturday we could relax without forgetting that learning is the key stone of the Gathering.

The learning experience would be based on the teaching methods of business schools. It would be based on case methodology, so we would combine lectures with fiction/non-fiction cases and expand our knowledge base.

We are now in the process of closing dates and brain storming ideas of events/activities we could do.

Again, I welcome all suggestions.

What would you like to get out of the Gathering to make you travel to Barcelona?
What specific topics and experts you would like to have in our education sessions?
How would you organize trading sessions?
What would you like to see while visiting Barcelona?

At the end of last month, there was a message posted at the great forum Forex Factory —no doubt the best FX forum right now on the net— about what were the sites people used when they were not trading.

Someone answered that their routine, when not trading, was to Check Bloomberg, CNNMoney, FXstreet.com; Check FF forums, Make plans for next trading day, etc.

One answer to this post caught me off of guard: “yep, I also check fxstreet, but I get a vibe that most of the articles, etc… are trying to sell you something.”

I take this to mean the poor quality of some of the articles we currently publish and he is right, we should require more from content contributors as all articles on our site should provide value to our visitors. We will definitely lift our level to publish on our site, but what is troubling me is that it said: “articles, etc…”

I’m not able to determine what this “etc…” is. It is evident that we exist because of advertising as the entire site is free, save Premium Service and Monthly Webinars. People understand that to provide free information the net, ads are necessary, but I do not think this person is referring to ads but something else.

May I know what your opinions about it are?

Do you agree with this notion?

Your feed-back is more than welcome.

I would like to use this blog to present all new projects we here at FXstreet.com have in mind, and, things that we believe can be improved with your feed-back.

My goal for this blog is to be able to directly discuss things with visitors of FXstreet.com and get your comments, suggestions, and above all else, your constructive criticism. I consider your opinion critical for the future of FXstreet.com, so I believe this could be the right place to receive it.

Thanks,
Francesc
