Hi Everybody

As you all probably already know, last February we launched a new Economic Calendar.

The EcoCal was developed with Ajax technology and includes the definition of the event, reports and news available on FXstreet.com related to that event, and from today it will be introducing charts with data provided by our friends at Economagic.com.

The EcoCal has grown till April 26th to 96,000 page views from 59,000 in March. This is a 63% growth rate, so we should close the month topping 115,000 page views that should represent an 88% growth from the previous month.

Extraordinary results indeed!

Congratulations to Raul Rosales, Marina Schiaffino, Guillermo Alcalá and Soraya Bihakue from content department and Henri Fournier, Jonathan Huet and Marc Romero from IT department for the great job done.

Hi everybody

Yesterday April 23rd was Saint George’s day.

It is a very special day here in Catalonia – my little country in the north-east of Spain with Barcelona as the main city– as it is a day that men buy a rose to their women and women buy a book to their men.

Yesterday I bought some roses for all women I care about and I got three Astérix books from my wife and daughters.

The Adventures of Asterix (French: Astérix) is a series of French comic books by René Goscinny (stories) and Albert Uderzo (illustrations). Uderzo has continued the series since the death of Goscinny in 1977. The series follows the exploits of a village of ancient Gauls as they resist Roman occupation. The 33 main books or albums (one of which is a compendium of short stories) have been translated into more than 100 languages and dialects.

If anybody is interested in Astérix books, my suggestion is to buy any book created before Goscinny’s death in 1977. After his death, the quality of the stories has dropped too much and the latest books published recently have nothing to do with the early ones that are just great.

Put an Astérix in your life, you won´t regreat it! :)

On Sunday April 15th around 11:00AM EST ForexFactory.com web site suffered a hacker’s attack.

The attack was devastating and FF has needed almost three days to have things under control again.

Even though we are their stronger competitor, they posted a message on their site sending people to FXstreet.com in order to keep updated on the market, so I thank Merlin for that.

Before I knew about such nice gesture, I had already put my people and advertising space at Merlin’s disposal for whatever he needs.

As you all know, I’ve got a very good relationship with Merlin and I’m a fan of FF so from here I just want to wish all the best to Merlin and his team and tell him again that we will be delighted to give you a hand to leave the attack behind

I´m back…. sick :)

Hi everybody

As you all probably already know, I went with all my friends to Morocco to celebrate my 40th anniversary.

We went to Chefchaouen, located in the north-east of Morocco. We took a plane from Barcelona to Malaga, and there a bus to Algeciras, where we took a boat that left us in Ceuta, a Spanish city in the north of Morocco. Once there we go on a bus that was waiting for us - we were 23 people, a small crowd - that took us to Chefchaouen.

First night there I got sick so I had to spend my first 24 hours watching the hotel walls, while my friends were going around and having a lot of fun… fortunatelly I got well fast and I was able to enjoy Chefchaouen’s narrow streets and the beautiful contrast of white walls and blue doors and windows with the company of my friends… we were like teenagers going overseas in a school trip with no teachers watching us, so you can imagine how we disturbed the peace and calm of such beautiful place :)

I´m today at home trying to put myself together and hope to be back in the office tomorrow Tuesday

Hi everybody,

I’ve got good and bad news. Let’s start with the bad one… I’m turning 40 years old on Friday April 13th. Yes… 40!!!

A friend of mine recently told me that today’s 40 were the same as yesterday’s 30… Well, this is quite supporting but not really relieving.

The good news is that I’m going to the beautiful kingdom of Morocco with my wife Miriam and many friends to celebrate it.

I will be back Monday April 16th. See you then!

Hi everybody

I’m really happy to share with all of you something I’m very proud off.

As you may probably already know, we launched less than two months ago a new Economic Calendar.

The new calendar not only added new features as consensus or revised data, but added two main features not seen before in an on-line calendar:

First, it offers economic indicators releases in real-time and second and most important, it gathers under one roof all reports and news we have at FXstreet.com regarding all economic indicators. Soon it will also include charts, pairs affected by that release, comments regarding that pair on our blogs and many other features.

For the time being, the Economic Calendar has been able to jump to the 5th most visited page the week of April 2nd 2007 with 16,000 unique viewers, 22,000 page views and an average of time spent of 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

If you were looking for a good Economic Calendar, I just hope you have found it here at FXstreet.com.

Please visit EcoCal at: http://www.fxstreet.com/fundamental/economic-calendar/
