Hi Everybody

A very nice gentleman from Australia authorized me to publish here in my blog the feedback he sent to my colleague Ms. Maud Gilson yesterday.

I wanted to publish it because it is really flattering for me that an experienced trader considers FXstreet’s Premium Service as a better tool for FX Traders than other services offered by big - but really big - companies with many years of experience in the field.

Mark, thanks a lot for your comment – you really made my day yesterday – and for letting me publish it here.

Francesc

Dear Maud

The service you provided is first class and I was very surprised at how accurate your trading methods were. I subscribe to Thomson Financial at $500 Australian dollars per month, very expensive and not worth the amount but I signed a contract to subscribe till September this year and the company is holding me to the contract. You should be very proud to know your service is so much better than there’s, I tested both and yours came on top and so much quicker in releasing news. If I could get out of my current subscription I would subscribe right now on yours, but I trade with IG Markets they are Forex brokers in Australia and you are not part of there Forex trading. I miss your service and can’t wait for my subscription to be over so I can switch to you. I have told many of my friends in London and Sydney about how your service is better than Thomson and they are also looking at your service. I hope this helps and I do miss your service, pity I could not get a trial till September. Plus have a look at IG Markets to add to your current Forex brokers traders list

Kind Regards.

Mark

Hi Everybody,

The Swedish brokerage firm Svenska Valutagruppen AB regulated by The Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority, Finansinspektionen, and FXstreet.com have closed an agreement to offer $500,000 worth of managed accounts for the competition winners to obtain to trade for.

The three top traders will start trading with Svenska Valutagruppen AB  money through their  own brokerage house and their own platform. These accounts will be traded with a Performance Fee which will be divided on a profit share basis with the money manager. Of course the company has internal risk management procedures we will require the competitors to follow.

Svenska Valutagruppen AB will offer 3 prizes

First prize: $250,000
Second prize: $150,000
Third prize: $100,000

The only requirement from Svenska Valutagruppen AB is that, whatever account participants are trading during the competition, this should be a live account – this is mandatory to participate in our contest anyway - with at least $10,000 deposited – while the contest conditions only require a $2,000 minimum capital. Of course they can trade through any broker they currently use.

Thank you so much first of all to GFT – sponsor of the Contest and of the FXstreet’s ITC 2007- to accept another brokerage firm participating in the contest.

Thank you very much Joe Force and team. You guys rock! :)

Also I want to thank Svenska Valutagruppen AB  and its CEO, Mr. Alfonso Granlund, for their interest in FXstreet.com and its FX Trader of the Year 2007 Contest.

So now it is just a matter of participating and winning, isn´t it?

Hi everbody,

It seems Raghee Horner meets with success one more time…

As you may already know, Raghee is the guest speaker of our May’s monthly webinar.

She is going to deliver a two parts educational webinar walking you through her Four Step Trading approach

Part I begins at 13:00GMT and is organized on an open basis, so everybody can join in. If you wish to join, just click here and register to the session.

Part II starts at 14:30GMT and is only open to Premium Members.

All Premium Members – currently a group of 60 FX traders – are showing a great interest to attend. Also, Part I already has almost 60 traders pre-registered, so we can expect a webinar that could easily reach a crowd from 70 to 100 attendees.

So again – and this is not the first time – I want to congratulate Raghee.

Well done girl! :)

Hi everybody

Some Swiss sources have informed me that the SFBC (Swiss Federal Banking Commission) made a request in its annual report to bring all collective investment companies, including FX companies, under the banking law.

This responds to their willingness to finally rule the FX market in Switzerland, where currently FX brokerage firms can legally act under the supervision of public authorities (SFBC) or private ones (such as Polyreg or ARIF) that are in fact more self-regulatory bodies against money laundering than client’s protection bodies.

Our sources have notified the new law will be effective within two to three years and FX companies will have a two-year period to adapt.

I hope these words will help to clarify a little bit what’s going on these days in Switzerland.

Hi Everybody,

As promised here are some more news about the Swiss brokerage firm Forex.ch last week’s shut down and restarting of all operations Monday May 16th.

During the last few hours I’ve been exchanging e-mails with Peter Furrer, CEO at GFX Group SA, in order to get Forex.ch version of what happened with their web’s and partial operations’ shut. GFX is the owner of the web site www.forex.ch

He explained to me that the reason why www.forex.ch web site went down last week and all new dealing activities of the brokerage firm stopped was that their business processes, including IT infrastructure, was part of the review by the SFBC (Swiss Federal Banking Commission) and part of trying to fix some IT related deficiencies they’ve experienced the recent weeks.

Taking the system down was the best way to accelerate and facilitate SFBC’s work and to fix IT deficiencies, said Mr. Furrer.

Now Forex.ch is back with SFBC’s green light… something that not many local brokers can say about themselves, added Mr. Furrer.

I want to thank Mr. Furrer for his feedback and for letting me publish his words here at my blog.

Thanks

Francesc

I got some feed-back from a friend of mine a few minutes ago.

At this time a non-official explanation is that they had to take the website down while they deal with some internal issues in Switzerland, but this should not last longer and they expect their site to be up by the beginning of next week, if not later this week.

As soon as I got more info, I’ll come back to you all

Francesc
