I want to thank jckm for his great contributions at FXstreet’s Forum.

When we decided to create the Forum a couple of years ago, our goal was to be able to attract traders that had something interesting to say or discuss about trading FX.

$/yen continues higher from the
July 16th low at 103.80 (then the base of the bullish
channel and a 38% retracement from the March low at 96.15), with
potential for eventual gains above the June high at 108.55,
and toward longer term resistance at 110.00/25 after (50% retracement
from the June 2007 high at 124.15).

unchanged in the US.

the Foreign Exchange Joint Standing Committee published today the results of its Semi-annual FX turnover survey of April 2008.

The main findings of the survey were:

1. Average daily reported traditional UK foreign exchange turnover was $1,683 billion in April 2008.

2. Average daily reported UK turnover in the other OTC foreign exchange instruments was $136 billion in April 2008.

3. Combined average daily turnover in April 2008 was $1,820 billion, 31% higher than in October 2007 and 54% higher than a year earlier, in April 2007.
