Hi everyone

I´m proud to share with you today that we launched over the weekend the beta version of our new CAG (Currencies at at Glance).

The new CAG will bring along automatic calculations of all the important indicators a trader need to take appropriated trading decisions.

The CAG just released is still far beyond of what it is going to be in the next future as it will include a larger number of indicators. We also have to fix some mistakes like the lack of necessary explanations about the meaning of the different symbols used.

… but I hope you´ll enjoy it as it is now

Francesc

Ufffff!!!

Things getting worse and worse :(

Total Global Financial Crisis - Danske Bank
Markets are in turmoil as the fallout from the financial crisis goes global and hits Euroland hard. Things went from bad to worse yesterday evening, when the House of Representatives rejected the USD 700bn bailout. The compromise bill had been hammered out by high level members of Congress over the weekend. While a bill is likely to be passed in some form, the rejection increases the risk that the final bill will be a watered-down version with a more limited healing effect on the financial system. In our view, developments in recent weeks have already caused damage to the real economy, as access to funding has been cut off.

The spill-over to Europe comes via a number of channels. The direct spill-over from US markets and rising global risk aversion is clear. Global growth prospects decline every day the crisis rages on, and confidence in banks around the globe is crashing. Distrust of the banking sector in Europe was already surging on the back of bailouts of Dexia, Hype Real Estate, Fortis, Glitnir and Bradford & Bingley, and just this morning Ireland rescued a number of banks – see more below.

Hi everyone

Back from a long week-end happily spent around the south of France. I took my children to Carcassonne’s Castele (Chateau) and we all got inlove with it. Beautiful!

Now I was clearing my e-mail when I found a notification from FX Solutions dated September 25th.

The note states as follows:
As you may be aware, FX Solutions is in the process of merging with IFX Markets. IFX is the retail FX arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of City Index, which is also FX Solutions’ parent company. This merger of sister companies is being undertaken to streamline FX operations and achieve other synergies. IFX Markets has offices in Boston and Shanghai. The combined company, we believe, will be one of the largest FX retail brokerages in the industry - with approximately 60,000 customers.
The merger is planned to be completed on September 30th….

For more info: http://www.fxsolutions.com/site/ifx-merger/default.asp

As you have already concluded, the move is a natural move as both companies were owned by City Index, so probably the interesting issue now will be to see if 1+1 makes more/less/equal than 2.

We will see

Stay tuned

The global economy continues to languish following the two major shocks to growth that have hit in the past year - the financial crisis and the run-up in commodity prices. The financial crisis was a substantial blow to housing markets globally, while the rise in commodity prices squeezed private consumption.
In the coming quarters the developed economies will totter on the brink of recession, with very weak growth in the US, Euroland, the UK and Japan. We expect a gradual - but fragile - recovery to kick off in the US in H1 09, and this will spread to the rest of the developed economies later in the year.
