The Wallaby Trade: Counter-Trend (and Trend) Trading
Type:
Webinar
Register for this Session

Expert: Rob Booker, Founder and Host at TraderRadio.net
Moderator: Maud Gilson
Start: Tue, Mar 15 2011 16:00 GMT
End: Tue, Mar 15 2011 16:45 GMT

Summary:
Rob Booker’s new book, The Wallaby Trade, is all about trading the pullbacks - when a trend enters a corrective phase. These are some of the best times to enter trend trades, with the tightest stops and the widest profit targets. At major market turning points, these pullbacks provide very early entries on a complete reversal of a trend. In this webinar, Rob will describe this divergence-trading methodology completely. By registering for the webinar, you’ll get access to the webinar slides, all the rules of the method, and have a chance to look at live charts for currencies you’re trading right now.

Rob Booker is the co-author with Dave Murphy of the DVD Support and Resistance Trading released by FXstreet.com. Step-by-step, you will learn to set up trades on any currency pair, on any time frame chart. If you are a short term trader, these profitable strategies can help you plan and complete trades on 5 minute, 1 minute, and even tick charts. If you are a longer term trader, these same methods will help you plan trades to capture the huge swings in the currency markets — moves that last for hundreds of pips.

Hi everyone

I’m terrible sad to announce that we have had a last minute speaker loss for the International Traders Conference 2010 that will be starting tomorrow Wednesday October 20th here in Barcelona.

Rob Booker has been having some health problems - a very sudden high fever - and doctors told him he could not do this travel from California to Barcelona. I do not have more details at this time.

Fortunately, Rob seems to be fine but he has to rest and get well.

Rob is very upset and disappointed about not being able to come.

We will organize ourselves to search alternatives to fill the gaps of Rob’s presentations and interventions at the ITC.

Rob… we are going to miss you!… But, health comes first so please take care of yourself and get well!

This is going to be the first ITC without Rob after having been with us for the previous 3 editions and I expect him to be back next year :)

Hi everyone,

CFTC restrictions on trading in the U.S. is still a topic that many of you are worried about.

As many Forex experts and educators, Rob Booker has received hundreds of questions in the last two weeks, and traders are asking:

Will you be sued for opening an account offshore?
What are the tax implications of opening an offshore company?
What trading strategies work best with lower leverage?

So Rob has decided to hold a 4-part webinar series in the first week in October.

The webinar series will feature:

1. 3 trading strategies for lower leverage;
2. A complete and expanded legal update on the regulations, including a discussion about offshore forex dealers and the tax implications of starting an offshore company to trade ;
3. A look at my trading account, and how I’m already trading with lower leverage, without disruption;
4. A special two-part series on how to recover from large trading losses.

If you want more information about this important webinar series, visit the link below now:

Let me know if you enjoyed it

Hi everyone,

We now have all the keynote speeches of our International Traders Conference (ITC) confirmed! In a previous post, I gave here the speeches of Triffany Hammond, Chris Capre and Boris Schlossberg. Here are the other four:

  • Todd Gordon: “Strategies of a Professional FX Trader”

In this session, Todd Gordon will explain the 3 dimensions of his professional trading style including 1) Intermarket and Fundamental Analysis, 2) Elliott Wave and Fibonacci Theory, 3) professional trade and account management.  He will share with you his exact trading tactics, which include precise entry and exit parameters based on Elliott Wave and Fib, position sizing, and risk management. Most importantly in this opening session,  Todd will explain Elliott Wave Principle in a clear, concise, and simple manner. Prepare for a candid look into the daily trading life of a professional foreign exchange trader. A basic knowledge of Elliott Wave Theory is recommended.

  • Mike Baghdady: “Understanding Price as a Function of Human Behaviour”

“Human emotion is both the source of opportunity in trading and is also the Greatest Challenge’
Markets are made of individuals, all with hopes, fears and greed. As a trader we are looking  for opportunities that arise from these human emotions Winning traders make money by exploiting the consistently irrational behavior patterns of other traders.
Price Behavior works and continues to work because it is based on the market movements that result from the systematic and repeated irrationality that is embedded in every person.

  • Rob Booker: “The Vortex Trade”

The Vortex Trade is a method of taking advantage of probable corrections in the market following trending price movement that has wildly exceeded its statistical average. In this presentation Rob will:

* Explain every rule for the trading system in detail,
* Show his live account statements, demonstrating how the method has worked for him,
* Provide a copy of the presentation and rules for each attendee.

Rob Booker is a trader, and author of adventures of a currency trader (Wiley, 2007), and Strategy:10 - downloaded over 500,000 times.

  • Cornelius Luca: “Ichimoku Vs. MACD - A Different Approach To Trading”

Busy alpha traders continually seek the next big signal, but only sporadically they experiment with methods other than basic Fibonacci retracement levels, moving averages and trend lines. Those who do might use the “cloud” for another approach to support and resistance levels. It is a good first step toward the Ichimoku Kinkou-Hyo, a comprehensive method. Using the Ichimoku along with the more popular Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD),  traders will be better prepared to correctly trade trends and identify overbought/oversold phases. Being ahead of the crowd should never hurt your profit!

And the schedule of the conference is already set up! Check it out!

livetradingYou will see that there is in total 9 hours of live trading! Every year, these sessions are the favorite moments of the attendees and speakers…  Groups of maximum 10 attendees  will be live trading with a team leader who is one of the guest speakers. These groups are designed to create a direct and very interactive contact among traders and with the experts.

The novelty this year is that we will divide the live trading in more sections and as a result attendees will be with more speakers! We will have 6 sessions of 1h15 / 1h30 of live trading, so attendees will trade next to 6 out of the 7 guest speakers (versus 3 speakers in the last editions of the ITC)!!! We hope everyone will enjoy this change!

Hi everyone

I just got this e-mail from our friend and collaborator Rob Booker. He is organizing a free webinar on March 15, at 7:00 PM Pacific US Time, to answer any questions or concerns you—as a Forex trader—might have about these proposed regulations.

Do not miss it!

Francesc

—————————–
Dear Trader,

On January 13, 2010, the CFTC published proposed regulations for Retail Forex that some people have called “the death of retail forex in the United States.” The rules cover a wide range of topics, including the possible reduction of leverage available to forex traders to 10:1.

In recent weeks, I’ve received more emails about this issue than about any issue ever before.

Needless to say, recent regulations have already drastically  changed the way currency is traded here in the U.S. and, as time passes, it’s beginning to look increasingly more likely that  far-reaching modifications will indeed occur in the amount of leverage U.S.-based brokers are allowed to offer their clients.

Unfortunately, this has left countless numbers of forex traders in an awkward state of limbo and desperately looking for answers.

We’re here to help!

On Monday, March 15, at 7:00 PM Pacific US Time, I will will host a special, one-time only online seminar that will answer any questions or concerns you—as a Forex trader—might have about these proposed regulations.

https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/499793393

My parents always said that I’d one day be grateful that I went to law school, and I suppose that I can finally say that’s true. I’ve spent a few weeks poring over the proposed regulations, and calling brokers and former regulators, and I think I’ve found out some information that will be helpful, and that you’re not going to get anywhere else.

Make no mistake about it, my friends—changes are coming. And we want to do all we can to help you prepare for them.

Don’t miss this opportunity to find out what we are doing as a company to protect ourselves and our trading accounts, and even more importantly, what you can do to protect yourself.

Seats are extremely limited for this event so don’t wait to register. Click on the following link and reserve your spot today!

https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/499793393

The webinar will be recorded and the recording will be sent out to those who register at the link above.

See you on Monday!

Happy trading!

P.S. You can see the proposed regulations here:
