EURO and GBP are expected to make volatile moves and rise for the day

Posted on May 12, 2009 at 6:01 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

EURO and GBP made the expected slide yesterday.

Today they are expected to make middle level consolidation for the week and quickly drop  below low during early European session and then firm up towards close of European session to rise  above high during US session. Wide range swing is expected to happen to create bearish and bullish feel alternatively.

    Doctor,

Could you help identify the possible path of Aud/USD for the week? Will it just follow Euro or make its own way?

    Many thanks!

    Good morning, Dr.,

do you see stock indexes climbing higher from today?

    Regards,
    Gregor

    Dear Dr,
It is difficult for traders to understand the main trend When you say below low and above high. Euro has a daily average range over 175pips these days and the range in JP session is only 64pips so far. Drop 10 pips below low and rise 100pips over high is so different than drop 100pips below low and rise 10pips above high. It is better to state it clearly if you can. Otherwise, We say there will be drop and rise everyday. This does not make much sense to actual trades.
    Regard
    Barry

It will be a surprise to see they drop below low in earlyEU session. I see they go to 3750 first.

    Good day Mr. Sivaraman,

today EUR and GBP are going for the highs in European session.
Do you still see a continuation of the uptrend in US session or may we see a pullback before?

    Thank you!

    Dear Doc
In response to Barry you said the low is intraday low. In response to RK you said they will cut the low either today or tomorow.
If they cut the low tomorrow, is it the low that is set during Japanese session TOMORROW, or are you saying they will cut the low set TODAY (any session)?
    Regards
    su25
