EURO and GBP are expected to swing and slide for a day

Posted on May 25, 2009 at 5:53 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

After the upward move for week end ,EURO and GBP are expected to swing during Japanese session and then slide from early European session. Then after a quick drop for early US session they are expected to firm up towards close to drop again tomorrow during japanese session. This sort of wide range swings are expected for the players to buy low and sell high and reduce the holding value of their buy positions and then rise more from tomorrow for last week of the month.

During last and first week of the monthy they bring in monthly trend reversal moves, they are known to be highly volatile. So trade calmly controlling the impulsive feel to get into the market.Buy during quick drop and book profit during quick rise in your swing trades.

    Good day Mr. Sivaraman,

I need some clarifications about your post from Friday.
You expect a new big rise in EUR and GBP.

I don’t understand why then you forecast a rise in denominator currencies and then a drop in numerator currencies in the last part of the week.

Considering the pairs EURUSD and GBPUSD, according to your last report USD should rise in the first part of the week and then EUR and GBP should drop in the last sessions, then I miss the point of the further big rise coming.

Thank you for making it more clear to me.

A last question, do you think we could see a retrace in EUR before a new rise?
If so how many pips would you reasonably expect it to dip or drop?

Hi Doc, great call on the EU and GU drop today. What do you see happening on the UJ today? Will it continue to rise during the NY session or fall?

    Hello Dr
It’s been quick so far today, could that be due to the holiday in the US and the UK? Could we see the correction tomorrow? Many thanks
