Aggressive rise and fall moves expected for week end

Posted on June 12, 2009 at 4:14 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

EURO and GBP made the quick rise towards close of yesterday US session as expected. They are expected to make a dip during Early Japanese session with swings and firm up towards close of the session.During European session  they are expected to make wild swings and upward extended stop hunt .During US session swing and slide moves are expected for week end.

Extended stop hunts are to hit the stops at higher levels before the drop. Also when traders jump into breakout trades the players try to trap them very quickly.Watch and trade during week end with calm mind without being attracted to distractions.

    Hi DEAR DR

for euro and gbp the upward stop hunt , will cut yesterday high or just a test near the levels ? because i dont think they ll cut yesterday’s highs ? what do you think sir .

    best regards

  2. on 12 Jun 2009 at 5:43 am2Kevin

If it’s going to be a stop hunt, it probably will cut yesterday’s high since most short traders will have their stops around there. Look forward to your calls in the webinar.

    Good day Dr.Sivaraman,

how do you see EUR and GBP during the rest of this month?
Is it lecit to expect a drop of 500 - 1000 pips from the current levels before a new rise will happen?

  4. on 12 Jun 2009 at 6:33 am4Ahmed Hanif

Sir please guide me to the direction of aud/usd. will it going to make a new high or will it make a deeper correction?
I am desperately waiting for your reply.
    Thanks

  5. on 12 Jun 2009 at 7:25 am5Kevin

i believe this huge drop on EU and GU was a stop hunt down for the real move up and then on to the upward extended stop hunt?

  6. on 12 Jun 2009 at 7:43 am6shoora

    Dear Dr,
My understanding is that today will be a doji day in GBP/USD, with a low near 1.6450, a high near 1.6666, and small body centered around yesterday’s close. Is this what you expect?

  7. on 12 Jun 2009 at 7:44 am7su25

    Dear Doc
Would my expectation of the following for Gbp/Usd be in line with your thinking?
Extended upward stop hunt will start from levels around 1.6450~ 1.6480, reaching highs around 1.6750~1.6800, followed by a quick drop to 1.6300 area.
    Thanks and regards

  8. on 12 Jun 2009 at 7:48 am8freddie

Dr,pls are you implying that EUR n GBP will end today with a slide instead of a rise

  9. on 12 Jun 2009 at 8:02 am9Barry

    Dear Dr,
There will be up and down move in the market as you said. If it drops much, then it will rise a bit and vice versa. The important question is do you expect a positive net change or negative net change. If it is positive, it is wise to take long position after drop and if it will be negative, it is better to reenter into short after some pull back. What is your opinion?
    Regards.
    Barry

    Dear Doc
For Gbp/Usd, the Asian session low was cut during Gap time, and again revisited at the start of European session. Subsequently, price was hovering near Asian session lows for more than an hour. Now price is again near previous low after 90 minutes. Since the low was cut and price was below the low, we have to watch the new lows for 2 hrs. Is this correct way to apply your 10~30 mins and 30min~2 hrs rule?
    Thannks and regards

Dear Sir, what is your outlook for gbpusd and usdchf for the end of this month? Is it 1.60 area for gbpusd and 1.12 area for usdchf? Thanks..

  12. on 12 Jun 2009 at 10:42 am12carlab

    Sir:
Looks like no swings up so far, Europe slides down, could it be every body throwing the towels already, and only big sell off this afternoon after small uptick?
But think the close should be lower. Do you share my view?
Tks indeed for your hints. In many years trading, never seen this way to approach markets.

    Dear Dr.,

When the players induce a slow slide like the one we are seeing during the European session today, what would they normally expect the traders to do: to go short due to the bearsh feel och to go long expecting a further rise? What is the players’ mindset?

    Thank you very much!

    George

    Hi dear Dr

i dont know , i feel yesterday night was the upward stop hunt during us close session , or there is still a chance for upward stop ? and what to do if they go now without up stop hunt , what do you advice?

    Regards

  22. on 12 Jun 2009 at 11:43 am22Rohan

sir, when we can expect an upward stop hunt in euro/usd ? will that can be at the end of euro session ?

  23. on 12 Jun 2009 at 11:44 am23Dr. S. Sivaraman

    Dear George
The players are now buying by dropping against the sells they made yestersay during the rise rise.if they want to sell more then they will quickly gain levels and slide. If they have built already sell positions after off loading their longs they could continue the slide .We will know that during European session close and early US session.
    Regards
    Dr.Sivaraman

    Dear mice
You may be correct also.We can take sell position if they cut the new low during US session as technical sell and buy trade.or watch the gap time move and decide about the trading.
    Regards
    Dr.Sivaraman
