Drop is expected in EURO and GBP

Posted on September 21, 2009 at 8:27 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

EURO and GBP closed flat towards close of US session on Friday. They were expected to swing and slide during Japanese session and the same happened.During Early European session they are expected to firm up some and then slide again from mid European session.During US session further slide is expected. At that time EURO is expected to make more net change drop than GBP. Denominator currencies are expected to commence their upward rise in this week and in coming days.

Telegraph wrote a few days ago that “Pound will fall to parity with euro”…

Dear doctor, Eur is on the up side gbp is on the down side. How can eur/gbp pair can be move down to .87 level?

    Would you please explain.

    Thank you,

  16. on 21 Sep 2009 at 11:48 am16Dr. S. Sivaraman

    Dear Sum
You know well the market makes alternate moves from time to time. Now you see euro up and gbp down - from tomorrow we coyuld see euro down and gbp up.Then you could see euro/gbp drop.earlier it was like that and hence euro/gbp was lower than now.So such moves are expected now onwards.

    Dear Dr.Sivaraman,
I ever raised this question once,I hope you can help answer .As players drop the GBP while holding Eur or vice versa so as to manipulate the price of E/G.It’s true as we observe the market. My question is there are also sell and buy in E/G pair, why we only see the price changes resulted from the changes from E/U and G/U?
    Thanks and regards.

    Dear hugme
We need to see the price action in euro/usd,gbp/usd and euro/gbp and try to take trading decision during mid sessions of any of the 3 sessions of a day.

  20. on 21 Sep 2009 at 1:04 pm20Dr. S. Sivaraman

    Dear Arun Kandyal
When you take buy position during lower level consolidation and downward stop hunt time, they could act as safe entry time and levels.
    Regards
    Dr.Sivaraman

  21. on 21 Sep 2009 at 1:09 pm21vinesh

Doc, do you think EU will drop beyong 1.43 to 1.418 and lower or you think 1.43 should cap the downward move?

  22. on 21 Sep 2009 at 1:32 pm22Arun Kandyal

    Hi Dr
As you post ‘they could act as safe entry time and levels’.
,It means they are still expecting to go lower in GBP THX.

    Regard
    Arun Kandyal

    Dear vinesh
Please go with the market and not with your imaginations then you miss to enter or close your position.Let us watch calmly the slide and drop- let them do lower levelconsolidation with downward stop hunts to decide on the lower level for the month.
    Regards
    Dr.Sivaraman

    Hi Dr

is there more drop in euro today ? it seems collecting buyers for downstophunt is that right or the two hours rules must be applied ?

    regards

  25. on 21 Sep 2009 at 3:49 pm25smith

During US sessions, always the buyers are dominant in EUR and GBP, always the same price actions are happening. The only thing that is positive in EUR that the supports are tending lower day by day.
Doc, where do you think can the EUR close the day?

    regards,
    smith
