market may appear subdued - there is hidden agenda

Posted on October 30, 2009 at 13:26 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

For week end the market appears very subdued.EURO and GBP are making small swings and alternatively cut the low and firm up again to retain the fear for the lower level short sellers.During US session EURO and GBP are expected to swing and slide and drop from mid session as profit booking moves.many of the short sellers have closed the shorts and turn long hoping for Risk appetite move for week end.But the players are expected to remark that profit booking eroded the gains in EURO and GBP.the same up and down moves are given different interpretations - that is market making.

So, to understand: risk aversion = drop and risk apetite = rise?

Doc, thanks for your very informative webinars today.
Do you expect profit taking pull-backs just before end of EU/US overlap (17:00 GMT) today? and will our identified trends continue again after this, into the weekend?

Maybe this will help day traders that follow doc blog and are making loses. Try the false move before data release strategy. I will start testing it on demo from next week after i ask dr more info about it in the webinar. Entered a trade today based on what I’ve remembered from this strategy short eur/usd before us personal income (12:26 gmt) and made 20 pips (i looked at it as more of a “scalp” trade with 1 or 2 standard lots rather that a more 0.5 lot and wait for a bigger slide - it is more effective in days with lot’s of data coming the grab the small pip profit when you see it). sometimes you can get 100 pips in 5 minutes..sometimes 10 or 20. After the next week i hope i can add one more good trading system on my book. Currently testing 2nd and 3rd week monday false move from july..i will run it until end of year..hope i will have good results so i can share it with you. Have a good weekend all.

Does anybody know where one can access the recording of the “live tracking the market” webinar? I had been unable to join in and would be grateful if anybody is aware if the recording was done at all? I thought Fxstreet’s moderator, Sandra, said they would be recording every Monday and this monthly live webinars-
