Can EURO and GBP slide more?

Posted on November 3, 2009 at 14:19 in Market comment, Market forecast, Operators' intentions by Dr. S. Sivaraman

Euro and GBP made the slide and drop till close of European session as expected by the forecast model.Euro  and GBP made negative net change of 150 pips and making small firming up moves.

can they drop more?

Euro and GBP are expected to drop more after brief pull back during start of US session. They may be sell opportunities near initial lows of the day set during early japanese session.

Tomorrow, for FOMC rate decision, before hand  the market is expected to swing and slide more to net permissable level of the day and  then expected to make volatile moves during FOMC rate announcement time to drop more for BOE and ECB rate announcements expected to be announced day after tomorrow. Then further drop for NFP data release.

I will give more detailed expected market moves for those days during the respective days.

Regards

Dr.Sivaraman

    Hello Dr:
What is the anticipated forecast for EUR/JPY? It has been steadily falling for last week. Do you anticipate a further drop, or a return to 135 - 138 levels?

Thanks for all of your guidance,

    Masood

    Dear Masood & jaydee
Euro/yen is expected to make some drop and then rise from next week - trading with hedging to limit the risk.
They are expected to drop along with euro- usd/yen also to 89.50 area and then rise.

Respected Dr. Just to keep updated, “Euro and GBP are expected to drop more after brief pull back during start of US session.” is still the forecast? I saw the GBP pullback during start of US session, it’s safer now to do the shorts? what levels are expected for the GBP drop? will it cut today’s low ~1.6250?
