GBP/USD Strong resistance ahead

Posted on October 15, 2009 at 2:03 in Intraday Techs by César B. Leiceaga

Trendline resistance has been broken and cable is now testing a strong resistance area comprehended between 1,6120 and 1,6200 handle.

1,6099 represents the 38,20 % Fib of the whole bear move from 1,6738 - 1,5704, on the other hand RSI is entering overbought conditions on the 4 hour chart and the 200 SMA lays around 1,6190, therefore some profit taking is expected at these levels.

Check out the 4 hour chart:

  4. on 15 Oct 2009 at 3:49 am4César B. Leiceaga

Suerte. He respondido a tu mail privado.

Mecorto a 1.62725 y vuelvo a vender sisube a 1.6345 siguiente fibo

  8. on 15 Oct 2009 at 5:39 am8César B. Leiceaga

    Mucha suerte!

    DEAR CESAR

    Thank you for your attention.
apparent correction GBP was sharp & very deep and in my opinion untill 6350 (63% fibo & upper BB)Would continue.this level is critical for defining trend.
about usdjpy correction was deeper than expected but main senario isnt change and now we are in upward to 92.50 for complit structure.

    BEST REGARDs

    Dear A-SOLTANI,

I think GBP is heading higher….the bounce from the 38,20 % FIb on the daily chart is a significant one. Players are now pushing gbp higher in order to drop eur/gbp. I agree with the 6350 level as a critical one to define overall bias.

    Regards.
